Through the interplay of horizontal and vertical elements, the energetic interaction of colors, and the accumulative effect of repetition, I infuse perpetual movement into otherwise static images. Constant change is expressed through visual syncopation.

Each painting is an attempt to articulate the infinite, yet each is also rooted in the currents of modern life, at times with ties to scenes from the natural world on our often overwhelming planet. The vigorous interaction of colors in these paintings is a response as I endeavor toward balance.

Most of my paintings are made using spray paint and stencils, and a few are made with acrylic paint and brush. The process involves precision within the overall design, but there is also a limited control in how the paint is applied. A closer look at the hard edges in these compositions reveals the individual character of the work.
